The UP Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists functions under the aegis of the National Body (Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists).
Their aims and objectives are :
1. To promote and advance Pathology, Microbiology, and allied sciences as well as promote their role in public health.
2. To uphold the standards of education, training, and practice of Pathology, Microbiology, and allied sciences.
3. To Promote research in the fields of Pathology, Microbiology, and allied sciences.
4. Develop partnerships with other institutions, organizations, or individuals, in such a manner to achieve common objectives.
